The Pavilion
The Pavilion is a 73-bed, full service psychiatric hospital located on the West Florida Hospital campus. The physicians and staff of the Pavilion are focused specifically on the treatment of adults. Although physically adjoined to West Florida Hospital, The Pavilion is a separate facility, ensuring confidentiality and patient privacy.

The Pavilion offers comprehensive diagnostic evaluations and treatment programs in an environment of comfort, caring and privacy. The facility features comfortable patient rooms, a private dining room and a specially designed occupational therapy department. Nondenominational church services are held weekly.
The Pavilion uses a multidisciplinary approach to meet the needs of each patient. The professional staff understands that life's difficulties sometimes lead to anxiety, depression and emotional turmoil. They recognize that those who find themselves in trouble need understanding as well as professional and emotional support. Psychiatrists, psychiatric nurses, social workers, activity therapists, and other staff members utilize broad-based therapy programs which include individual psychotherapy, medical management, educational groups for patients and families, occupational therapy, and appropriate discharge planning.

Admission
Patients are referred to The Pavilion by psychiatrists, other physicians, psychologists, mental health professionals, community agencies, employers, the judicial system, clergy, educators, families, friends, and by self referral. Emergency admissions are available on a 24-hour basis through The Pavilion Intake System or via the West Florida Hospital Emergency Department. The Pavilion's services are covered by most health plans. Pre-admission financial counseling is available upon request, as well as pre-certification services to the insurance carriers.
Accreditation/Affiliations
The Pavilion, in conjunction with West Florida Hospital, is fully accredited by The Joint Commission and licensed by the State of Florida. Services are approved for participation in Tri-Care, Medicare and most group health insurance plans.
